Possible miscarriage?

Hey sorry for the TMI but I’ve been super worried. I was cramping for a week but not bleeding but then yesterday I started cramping pretty bad and had terrible back pain and then passed some weird bright red tissue. After I passed it my bleeding and cramping slowed down but this morning it was terrible and then there was even more tissue on my pad and then my bleeding and cramping slowed again. Took a test yesterday that came out negative but I also did drink water beforehand. I could just be too early. Haven’t had a period in over a month and a half and I am on birth control but my body doesn’t react well to meds. Does this look like a miscarriage??

Had you tested positive?
How far are you?

Jklindt33 · 01/11/2021 03:25

@doodledeedum I tested negative yesterday after two tests but idk if maybe I’m too early but based on my cycle I’d probably be about 3 weeks,

So if you haven't 'missed a period' and you're still due on I'm not sure... you're just beginning your period

If you're almost at your period due date, tested positive but beginning to cramp etc and testing negative too , it would be a chemical pregnancy.... x

Sorry I just read your haven't had a period for over a month, if you never tested positive then I'm not sure ... especially if you're on birth control ? Just best to get checked out.
Sometimes ( if taking a pill) can make cervix very sensitive and cause bleeding as it's happened to me. So doctors is best option x

Mmm the back pain and passing of tissue does sound like a miscarriage to me. Are you still bleeding today? X

Hi

Hope everyone is coping ok

I'm hoping to get some advice/know what to expect.

I wasn't aware I was pregnant until Saturday just gone, and prior to that I had, had spotting, which I thought was my period starting - I think this might of just been the implantation, however I had quite a big bleed on the Wednesday prior to me finding out. It leaked through my pants onto my jeans, I've also had a large bleed on Tuesday just gone - I wasn't wearing any pants but it was IMO a lot of blood. It went all down my leg and through my trousers too. I do have photos if that would help? On both occasions before the bleed I had a lot of "period pain"

The GP won't refer me for a scan yet as I'm not six weeks pregnant

I've kept a log of the bleeding

Bleeding

Was due to start period 27th October
28th October - Light period. Normal first day, then came off after one day.
30th October - Spotting. Light pink.
3rd November - Gush of blood. Bright red. Enough to form puddle in pants and soak through underwear.

6th November - Positive test
9th November - Spotting @ first. Light pink.
Sudden gush of blood. Bright red.
Light pink when wiping. Stopped for an hour.
Bright red when wiping @ night time.
10th November. Still red when wiping. Little bit of stringy clots. Only in morning.
11th November - no blood.

@LaurieBump hi, sorry to hear you going through this.
Have tests got any weaker?
And have u had clots? I have heard of people bleeding and still being ok- it's more concerning when you have clotting... x

LaurieBump · 11/11/2021 12:53

Hi
Thank you for your reply.
There wasn't any clots on the two gushes of blood that I had, but the following day, there was some small stringy clots.
I've done another test but wasn't able to get the same brand so it's hard to tell if it's changed.
The doctor actually agreed to speak to me today. I just feel confused, he's telling me that it's normal and that it's implantation bleeding but everything I see online (Even the NHS website so a reliable source) is saying that implantation would happen around the time of period and that it would be light, not a sudden gush of blood. xx

@LaurieBump I believe it just wouldn't be enough to fill a pad.... but honestly everyone is so so so different
Glad you're speaking to doc today. Even if you wait one week- go for a private scan because even at 5 weeks they can pick up the sac/rod. It's just a wait on heartbeat if your dates are correct xxx
