Positive pregnancy test results after d&c abortion

My last period was 49days ago.... I had d&c exactly 20days ago and i have not had sex since after the d&c till now. I did pregnancy test twice already after the d&c it's still postive. I didn't bleed after the d&c and i have not seen my period till now. I'm still feeling dizzy and feeling pain in my breast and a back pain. I'm really worried

this is a really difficult thing to go through.

The thing is, the pregnancy test isn't directly detecting a pregnancy, but for the presence of a hormone that your body starts making when an embryo starts developing. However, if the pregnancy ends (whether intentionally or otherwise) the body doesn't stop making that hormone until the the uterus is completely empty.

So you need to get checked out by the clinic ASAP because if anything got left behind by the D&C that could lead to an infection that could make you really poorly. I know you would probably rather not have to keep dealing with this but it is really important to get seen asap.

Given that you are also feeling poorly, its even more important. Do not wait till after the weekend. Phone the clinic now.
