Ovulating after miscarriage

Hi. I'm just wondering how long it takes to stop bleeding after a miscarriage?. I bled for a week it stopped a week ago. I had intercourse yesterday and I started bleeding again, not much but it's red. Me and my partner want to try for a baby as soon as possible but I have no idea when I'll ovulate with the bleeding stopping and starting.

The annoying answer is that it can massively vary person to person and mc to mc...

But I would say that if you're still bleeding after 3 weeks OR if you're still getting clear positives on pregnancy tests then worth getting in touch with an EPU to check things over.

Worth noting that you might find random spotting happening for a few cycles - seems to be common!

Also, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to wait after an mc, but you and your body have been through a lot and it might need a cycle or two to settle. If you can, try to be kind to yourself!

Sorry for your loss! I've been bleeding 2 weeks today but it's decreased a lot and I think will be gone in another week. I got told I have to have for my first period before I try again because of confusion over dates (don't want to tho 😅) also got told to test in 3 weeks and if it's still positive to let them know. Hope that helps 💕

I don't want to neither 🙃. They told me I was good to go when I had the last scan confirming I had the miscarriage and my womb was clear so passed everything naturally. She didn't even say i had to wait for my period. I understand you have to if you want to know the dates but a scan can confirm that lol. I've also just had a negative test two days ago. Sorry for your loss too ♥️

Thanks for your reply. I've already had the negative test luckily. The bleeding had stopped and intercourse started it off again. I know I should definitely wait longer it's just so hard. Such a weird feeling being pregnant then not. Such a cruel world 💔

@Mammytobee I did a post in the pregnancy topic titled did anyone get pregnant after mc without waiting for period.. loads of people did! May be helpful to read? Also don't put pressure on yourself for how long you 'should' wait.. no knows your mind and body more than you and if you're ready to try again then go for it, I wish you all the best!! That's what's got me too.. I still go to stroke my tiny bump and then remember, it's horrible. How long did it take for you to stop bleeding? I hope mine goes soon 😭 only been 2 weeks but feels like forever!

Ah I will have a look 😊. Yeah I actually do feel ready again and thanks so much. It's awful!!!!. I was bleeding for about two 2 weeks solid then it's been on and off since it's just over 3 weeks altogether now, it just feels like it's never ending for me also!!! So stressful.
