Just wondering as above. Is it like a normal cycle?

Sorry for your loss.
Have you had a period since?

Brightthing · 10/10/2021 18:43

Thanks, no I am experiencing it currently so just wondering when I might ovulate again. I’ve heard you can be more fertile in the cycle after but not sure if that’s an urban myth

You can be yes, but it's totally unknown when you'd ovulate, you'd have to test.
Normally advised to wait a cycle to try again.

I recently had a MC at 5+3, I ovulated on CD17 the cycle that followed so only a day or 2 later than normal for me

CD is cycle day. How far along were you for your miscarriage?

I was 5+3, on day 3 of the miscarriage now

Is it best to start tracking things ie ovulation using ovulation sticks now going forward?

I ovulated 6 weeks after my surgically managed miscarriage at 7+3, and 15 days after my natural miscarriage at 5+2. I'm currently nearly 6 weeks pregnant from the cycle immediately after the natural miscarriage but there was 10 months between the other two before I caught so it's a bit of a gamble.

Rtmhwales · 10/10/2021 19:46

Yes, I tracked immediately using ovulation tests and basal body temperature (have been tracking that for a year now) just in case it was different and I'd miss it. Alternatively, and if you feel ready, just have sex every second day or so so you don't miss it when it happens?

polkadotpixie · 10/10/2021 20:33

CD is cycle day so counting day 1 of the MC as CD1, I ovulated 17 days after it began

@Rtmhwales did you wait for period before trying again? I got told to Cus of dates and that, I'm still bleeding from my mmc.. but the Im like, if I test in 3 weeks like I was told and keep getting negatives, surely I can then track and start trying Cus I'll know that my new positives would be from new pregnancy, if that makes sense

jokerflowers · 13/10/2021 10:53

@Rtmhwales got told I'd have to wait for first period* sorry prev comment wasn't v clear

Hi just wanted to come on to say I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and fell pregnant again on my next cycle. We decided not to wait and now have a beautiful 10 month old. My first was also after a miscarriage though that time I did wait for a cycle. For me I fell very quickly after a miscarriage each time
