Miscarriage- what to expect?

Hi, apologies for the TMI, I was just looking for people's experiences. I had a missed miscarriage at around 6 weeks, I'm 12 weeks today. I started on weds with some brown discharge, and some light red spotting, only really when I wipe. I've had some minor cramps, nothing major and last night I had alot of pressure, shooting pains up my lady area and back pain with some slight cramping and the bleeding got slightly heavier with some tiny clots but again nothing major. Can I ask what peoples experiences are please? Do you always get the contraction type pain and heavy bleeding or Is it possible to just spot and still pass everything? I feel like I'm constantly on edge waiting for the pain and bleeding to become much worse, like the EPAU advised me it would but so far it seems like it starts to progress then stops again.

I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks and decided to go natural and at 10/11 weeks the bleeding and contractions started. I have since had 2 children so please do stay positive that children can and do happen after miscarriage. I miscarried twice before my first born.
However my first miscarriage the contractions were as bad as actual labour. I ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance as the pain was so bad and I was home alone as my husband was away.
Second miscarriage I got in to hospital for a D&c asap after my first experience. Everyone is different but I personally found my first miscarriage excruciating and I wish I had know how bad it was going to be.
My thoughts are with you xxxx

Sorry to hear you are going through this, it's just awful. I miscarried at 8 weeks and for me the physical pain wasn't much worse than a heavy period. Bleeding lasted for about 4 days, it was very obvious when the baby had passed, and it was a complete miscarriage so no follow up required apart from the scan. Sending lots of love and support.

Hi, thanks for your replies. I started yesterday with really heavy bleeding and passing large clots and now back to just spotting today so fingers crossed I'm over the worse of it, what an horrendous experience! 😢

So sorry for your loss, literally just been through this! Mmc diagnosed on Friday, I lost angel on Saturday after a full day of contractions and several very large clots, now I have heavy period like pains remaining and random heavy bleeds but no more clots. I'm really hoping I don't bleed for ages! Wishing you all the best in this horrible, heartbreaking time 💕

@Everly18 you too, it's awful! The thing I'm clinging on to is stopping bleeding so I can start trying again. That and spending like a bit of an idiot trying to do anything to distract myself 😅 we'll get through it, we're strong ❤️
