Hello, I had my 12 week scan yesterday on what would've been 12w5days and baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks 😞 I had an early scan at 7 weeks and everything was fine then I'm just so upset. The hospital should ring me today and go through options but I'm just so upset, I feel awful like I let myself and family down although I know it's not my fault and I did everything right. Has anyone had any success with getting pregnant on the baby after a MMC and how long did it take? Also I know my options for the hospital but what really happens I'm sorry for silly questions maybe but I'm just trying to get my head around it. Thank you.

I got pregnant on my first cycle after MMC

Sorry for your loss. I also fell pregnant first cycle after my mmc. The miscarriage association website has lots of information on the different management methods, and has stories from women who have been through them. Reading these helped me make my decision.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Remember to be kind to yourself.

I had a missed miscarriage at 19 weeks last year - it was my first pregnancy. I was induced and also had to have a d&c after the birth so my doctor said I should wait 3 months to try again so that my uterus lining would grow healthy and ready for any new baby, but I think for losses in the first trimester you can try again sooner. I actually waited 5 months because I wanted to have all my test results back before trying again. We used ovulation tests and I got pregnant the first time we tried. I'm now 34 weeks pregnant.

I'm not sure what the procedure will be for a loss at 12 weeks and I live abroad so perhaps the experiences will be different, but I highly recommend finding a support group of women who've had a similar experience when you feel ready. I found it very useful to talk to other women who had an idea of how I was feeling.

Sending you strength and wishing you the best.

Sorry you are going through this. I found out I'm having a MMC at 9 weeks today. Got my ERPC booked for Friday. It's my second this year as I had a MMC at 9.5 weeks in May. I had my surgery beginning of June and got pregnant on the second cycle I had. Although I didn't have a positive ovulation test on cycle 1.

Hi Ariana, I had the same as you on the 28th. So far I’ve just had a dull ache and normal period cramps, very light bleeding. My missed miscarriage was caught quite soon heartbeat had only been stopped a few days and measured at 10 weeks instead of 10 and 4. It’s a long hard process but you will get through it. I was worried sick for the surgery and the procedure but everything went well and the nurses and surgeons were so lovely. Give yourself a bit of a time after to heal, I’m also worried about future periods and when it will come back at the minute but there’s so many positive stories on here.
Wishing you all the best for your surgery and sending lots of love ❤️
