Hi everyone. I'm going through my third loss in six months, and due to previous early losses, I'm under the care of a recurrent miscarriage unit.

I've been given the opportunity to send my pregnancy tissue for genetic testing, however collection is confusing me. I can, if I want, have a D&C to collect it (on Thurs), but as I'm bleeding now, I don't want to miss anything and am trying to collect at home. I'd also rather avoid surgery if I can.

I was only 5+6 weeks by ovulation today. Does anyone know what I should be looking out for? Apologies for TMI, but the nurse told me that I'm looking for tissue NOT (liver-like) blood clots. This early, with no visible sac on the scan to pass etc, I have no idea what that looks like or what sample size would suffice.

Would you just opt for the D&C and be done with it?
