Missed miscarriage - measured 5 weeks at 8 weeks

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I went for an early scan as I had some bleeding. Thought I should be 8 weeks but was told I was measuring 5 weeks, no heartbeat.

They said I could have my dates wrong but since I had a positive test on 27th July I should be further along and it’s unlikely. I should also add I’ve had zero pregnancy symptoms apart from lack of period. I knew something was wrong.

They’re giving me a call on Wednesday to ‘see how I’m doing’. I feel like a hostage stuck in the house waiting to miscarry. I’m scared to go to far from home incase the worst happens

Just feeling a bit down really, does anyone have any advice?

I'm in exactly the same situation as you thought I was further along but was told 5 weeks with no hb. I've got my 2nd scan on Tuesday and it has been the longest 10 days of my life and an emotional rollercoaster.
I have had some bleeding too so I'm not too hopeful for the scan.

I’m sorry. It’s just so cruel isn’t it. I think I’ve read just about every thread on similar experiences I can find. It’s not too helpful

I know what you mean I'm constantly reading things on here or googling and it doesn't help at all just makes me feel worse
