WARNING: Graphic images

So for context, I recently had a neck injury and had to go to the er. They usually always ask about pregnancy and run tests to check before administering medication but this time they didn’t. I was given ibuprofen and a valium for muscle relaxant. the next day i started experiencing what felt like period cramps but times 10, and they almost felt like what you’d imagine contractions to be and these cramps came with no bleeding like a usual period. they were so extreme that the pain radiated to my pelvic area and my back. this went on for about three days until this morning I woke up bleeding through my clothes, way heavier than my usual period. I went to the bathroom and felt a huge clot pass. I pulled it out to inspect it and it is almost the size of my hand. as soon as it passed, the cramping stopped… and I don’t know how to feel. I’m scared that i was pregnant and didn’t even know and he medication I was given terminated the pregnancy. any advice?

I would 100% go and seek medical attention as soon as you can, the back pain could possibly be associated with the neck injury but that blood clot look really large, even if it wasn't a miscarriage it looks like it needs to be investigated. Hope you're ok op xxx

A&E nurse here, really sorry but it looks like you are miscarrying. How many weeks are you? I only ask because the large bit on your palm looks like the baby in the sack about 10-12 weeks. You could ring your early pregnancy unit to have a scan arranged tomorrow if the bleeding subsides, obviously if you are bleeding a lot and changing your pad more than once every hour or two i would go to A&E x
