No joy after testing positive

Hello,

I had a MMC in April (MVA on 4/5). Anyway I got a positive pregnancy test the day before my period on Wed and I have taken a test every day since, although dark, not as dark as the last time.

I just feel like the same thing is going to happen again or a CP, this time I have even less symptoms than the last time - not even sore boobs. I know every pregnancy is different but I can’t help compare.

I had thought I had gotten over the MMC but this fear is just horrible and ruining any joy I should be feeling.

@MrsRFilange1 Im sorry to read of your loss 😔
We lost our baby in at the end of June and are thinking about TTC. I was 11weeks and thought I was out of ‘the danger zone.’ Already I’m worried about my emotions if/when I fall pregnant again.

I can imagine the anxiety and worry that you must be feeling and that it’ll could take away the excitement of your pregnancy.
Unfortunately I don’t think there is any advice anyone can give, I’ve heard of some people getting private scans for peace of mind.
Maybe this site could be useful in talking to others and reading their success stories.

Congratulations @MrsRFilange1 I really do wish you all the best for a healthy/happy pregnancy 💐💐

@newgirl21 I know, I feel terrible saying I feel no joy but unless you have experienced a miscarriage it’s hard to comprehend.

I’m just trying not to think ahead of myself and a day at time really. Probably will get an early scan for re assurance of heartbeat.

Sorry for your loss and best of luck to you going forward x

Hi @MrsRFilange1 I hope your well and don’t mind me messaging you, I was just looking for an update as to how your feeling? 💐
The reason I ask is that I feel I may be in a similar situation as you, I had a faint line positive test reading last Monday - I just feel anxious, not much excitement and anytime I think of the possibility of having another baby it’s quickly replaced by the fear of another loss. x

Hi Newgirl, I am 8 weeks on Monday, my symptoms did increase a bit with more nausea, food aversions and swollen boobs but they have calmed the last few days. I’ll be honest, I’m still an anxious wreck at the moment, my first scan is on Tuesday and I’m bracing myself for bad news which is a horrible thing to say but it’s how I am. You basically just have to take it one day at a time, some days I felt much more positive than others and I tried to not think about being pregnant as much as possible.

As they say it is very unlikely to happen again!
