6 weeks and no heartbeat at scan

Went to my EPU today for a scan as I have been having light brown spotting for a few days. I’m currently around 6 weeks pregnant. Went for my scan and they couldn’t detect the heartbeat, they have booked me in for another scan next Friday to see if anything’s progressed.

I only ovulated around 3rd July so by conception date only really 5+5. Should I prepare for the worst?

It's still possible at your dates that you just wont see a heartbeat yet! Best of luck for your next scan
