When do you ovulate after a miscarriage?

Had a miscarriage at 6+5 a few weeks ago. Its 3 weeks tomorrow to the day spotting started. Told myself I'll give myself a 6 month break from TTC and yet here I am wondering if I'm ovulating and whether we should DTD ''just to see''.

I hear a lot about being fertile post MC but don't understand any scientific reasons for it but I don't want to lose an opportunity if so! OPK negative. Temping with Ava for the past few days and just not sure when to expect OV ?

Any insights appreciated. Thank you ladies.

Hey there, so sorry for your loss! im in the exact same boat! Its been six weeks now since my bleeding started and I just want my period to show up so that i can start my opk’s again and know that my body is getting back to normal. Ive done a few opks and they are all negative, stressing me that i don’t know what my body is doing even though i know i should really be giving myself a break x

For me it was roughly 4 weeks. Usually had a period about 6 weeks after the bleeding stopped. I've had 3 miscarriages, all around the 6/7 week mark.

@Tina12745 sorry you went through the same :( I've heard people say periods return 4-6 weeks later so hopefully yours returns soon! Do you temp ?

@Putthekettleon2021 I'm so sorry you've been through this 3 times :( I cannot imagine the pain you must have experienced. Thank you. I'll keep an eye out. My temps are a bit all over the place so far.

@MrsTwentyNine Thank you! Thankfully I have since gone on to have a healthy pregnancy. I'm sure it won't be long until your body recovers and you can try again when you feel ready. Remember to take good care of yourself. Do things that make you feel happy. Self care is so important.

Sorry you're going through this. Like putthekettleon I've also had 3 - I ovulated about a week later than usual on the first one, then got pregnant straight away and had another mc. That messed up my cycles for several months. on the third I actually ovulated earlier (I was having acupuncture).

I then went on to conceive again straight away after #3 and currently 37 weeks pregnant (I took meds which I think treated the problem for me - 3 in a row is very rare) x

After my 3rd miscarriage I ovulated and conceived 2 weeks after. After my 4th miscarriage I'm not sure because we decided to take a break for 6 months. I had a 5th loss back in March and only just got my period back this month. Strangely though I've only ever had one positive OPK the others no matter when I test have never been positive ones
