How much pain is normal?

Had a scan yesterday at 5+2 which shown that everything was how it should be for that early so I'm guessing that rules out ectopic. Since last night I've started to have cramps and pain then brown, red bloody discharge. I'm sure this is a MC but I'm just wondering how much pain in normal. Since this morning my pain how worsened a lot I'm now having shooting pains, cramps, aches that are very intense but I havnt even started bleeding properly yet. I've taken paracetomol and using hot water bottle but doesn't seem to be helping. I'm just wondering how much pain is normal and what point you seek medical advice?

I'm so sorry your experiencing this, I would contact your EPU.

For me I had intense period cramps, I had diharroea and the cramps ramped up right before I passed the pregnancy. Following that I had mild period pains with bleeding. Co-codamol and a hot water bottle really helped, I spent the day in bed with chocolate.

Sorry if this isn't helpful. I hope you have a better outcome than I did. Take it easy, try to relax (I know it's easier said than done)

Thanks

Hi thank you for reply, my epu is shut now and I'm guessing a&e/urgent would just send me away to deal with it at home... My previous ones have never felt like this it's the lack of bleeding meaning the worst is yet to come Im struggling to even move at the moment...I am sorry to hear you have been through this too it's such a heart breaking thing for women to go through x

@twinkle36 have you had any pain relief? If this feels different to previous ones and you're not bleeding I'd probably go to your local A&E xx

I've had some paracetomol and have been laid down with a hot water battle for the past hour, my nearest A&E is in a different town I don't drive and have no means there and back I think they would just send me away as my scan yesterday showed the sac in the right place x

How're you getting on OP?

Until it is not manageable is the rule of thumb.
How are you this morning?

@twinkle36 I would definetly go in, if you've had no bleeding but you're in a lot of pain could it be your appendix or something like that? Or even am inflamed bowel? I'd get looked at. I really hope you're okay and everything is okay with the pregnancy
