Please may I ask a question, I had a miscarriage in May and not yet had a period so I'm unsure when I should take ovulation test? I've never used them before but want to now as I don't really know when my period will be and we are really wanting to try for our rainbow baby? Thanks x

Hey, no not yet but I spoke with my doctor yesterday and she said because I had d&c it can take up to 6 months to return.xx

I had 2 MVAs, 3 and 2 weeks ago. Tested negative this morning so was hoping AF would appear in the next couple of weeks. Not sure I can wait 6 months!

I know, I was in shock when she told me!! Doesn't seem right but me and my partner have decided to start trying again seen as we can't wait that long for a period xx

Ahh six months is such a long time! Im almost at 7 weeks now, ive had period symptons but it just doesn't want to show up 😞 my opks are all negative so i hope it shows up soon

@ChelseiSC Have you got a negative pregnancy test or blood test since your mc? This could be why you haven't had a period yet of the levels are still really high.

I had surgical management on 9 June and got what I think was a period nearly 2 weeks ago. The EPU can't say if it's a period or not as I still have a little left over hcg in my system (levels were around 20 at the time of my 'period') but from other research, it seems periods can only return when it is zero! It's so unclear 🙄 6 months seems a little long!

The nurses at the EPU have insisted many times that i must wait until I get a negative test before TTC again which makes me think that you can definitely ovulate even with hcg in your system and therefore should get a period at some point

Yeah I've had 2 d&c and negative test and my levels are being monitored atm, currently at 8 so maybe that's why my period hasn't come back yet! I've taken ovulation strips and have ovulated xx

@ChelseiSC sounds like they're very near returning to zero then and hopefully your cycle will rest itself! The wait is just so annoying isn't it as it feels like you're in limbo.

I've been told to wait for a negative test then been given the all clear to TTC again after that. I'm still getting faint positives which is annoying and I can't see it going down by next week. Wish there was some miracle tablet to take to make them go back to zero
