6 week miscarriage/TTC

After having an ectopic and my right tube removed on March 17th I surprisingly found myself having a positive test on the 28th May. Excited but nervous I went for my 6 week scan last Wednesday and was so relieved to find the pregnancy in the right place with a heart beat.

Literally from driving home from the hospital to getting home I started spotting and by Saturday this turned to heavy red bleeding. Today at my scan they confirmed I have had a complete miscarriage.

I am still bleeding. It’s not heavy. Throughout all this awful experience I seem to have never bled on the pads. But it’s an awful reminder everytime I pee!

Anyway, I know it’s so early and raw to be thinking and TTC but I am trying to make myself feel more positive.

How long did anyone’s bleeding continue for?
How long did it take TTC after a miscarriage?
Is it to soon to be TTC when the bleeding stops?

Looking for some positive stores Flowers

I'm so sorry OP. I had mine the other way around - two early losses and then an ectopic. I tried for 6 months after my first loss, 3 months after 2nd loss and we're a year into trying post ectopic. I've found every loss is different and bleeding varied. My loss just short of 6 weeks I found like a heavy period but an almost 8 week loss was a lot heavier. Looking back on my app I bled for 10 days. We left it a cycle before trying again. I didn't want to be confused by leftover hormones. Flowers

@Literaryseed thank you for responding. I am so sorry for your losses and I really hope you get you get your rainbow baby soon Flowers

Looking online and through mumsnet it’s just all so different with bleeding length and how much. I just want this nightmare to be over and the constant reminder to go so I can start to heal and continue the TTC journey.

It’s just so awful to go through and I really hoped that this one would be our little rainbow.

When I had my first loss I searched and searched for what was "normal" - how painful should it be, how much bleeding etc but it was so variable. The one thing I really needed each time was rest so make sure to be kind to yourself and take the time you need to recover.

I'm sorry for your losses. I recently had a miscarriage at 6-7 weeks. I bled for just over a week and there was no remaining tissue at the follow up scan. The nurse told me that there was no reason I couldn't try again after my next period if I wanted to. But as Literaryseed said, it varies so much. All my friends who have been through similar have had a different experience to me and to each other.

@Literaryseed yeah it does seem it varies so much! I was just hoping mine would have calmed down by now.

@Eyedontknow I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s an awful experience to go through. I’m just a bit panicky as at my scan they said I had passed everything but the Sunday just gone I started cramping and passed what looked like the pregnancy sac.

It started with spotting for 3 days and then turned into a heavy flow for 1-2 days. It started to calm down but now has restarted again heavier. So that’s two weeks now from the day I started spotting and does not look like it’s easing anytime soon.
