I went for an early reassurance scan at what should have been 6 weeks and 4 days. The sonographer wished me congratulations as if all was good. It was only when I commented on the size of the yolk sac that she agreed it was very large and it would be a waiting game to see if the pregnancy would progress. She recommended another scan in 10 days time. After googling large yolk sac I'm not holding out much hope for a good outcome. Especially with the lack of my usual pregnancy symptoms.
Next scan is the coming Monday. Presently time is at a standstill. I really hope it doesn't drag out as we are hitting the summer holidays and facing a miscarriage with all my kids off school is not an exciting prospect. Any one had any experience with a large yolk sac at this early stage?

I don’t have any advice but I hope someone does and I hope the next ten days go quickly for you.

Sorry, never heard of this.

If she sounded hopeful, there's definitely still a good chance it will be a successful pregnancy.

Very early scans are nerve wracking, u hope the week goes quickly and you get good news
