Late periods after miscarriage

Im currently waiting for my second AF post MMC currently 2 days late and feeling very confused. I waited 11 weeks for my first AF post Surgery.

Is it normal to be late and for the cycles to be all over after miscarriage?

I was a regular 28days before the pregnancy

Hi @SamBass I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in February and my periods are still all over the place which is frustrating to say the least!

I was always regular with 26day cycle. First period after came 27days after miscarriage, second cycle 31day cycle, next was 19 day cycle, then 23 day cycle.

I had a acupuncture appointment last week and will attend weekly to try to help regulate hormones and my cycle lengths.

I think it can take longer if you were further along in pregnancy x

Thank you for getting back to me, its so frustrating isn't it. I had surgery at 11 weeks but HB stopped at 9 weeks 5 days.

My OH keeps saying I might be pregnant again but tbh I don't feel it i just think its my body is still adjusting. I feel exhausted and having minor cramps so suspect AF is on its way...

Have you done a test? I know you probably don't want to do one as they bring up all different kinds of emotions! Apparently you're more fertile just after a miscarriage (defo not the case for me though lol)

I did a test last Thursday but it was a BFN, i was due AF on Saturday and felt bloated with back pain. Sunday and today i have felt completely exhausted with light cramps.
As you will know it's frustrating because PMS is similar to early pregnancy

I'd be inclined to do another test just to put your mind at rest but if it's still BFN then I guess it will just be a case of waiting for AF to make an appearance.

I know the whole waiting game is unbearable at times but all I can say is to look after yourself and make you a priority and also try to keep your mind busy!
