Still showing pregnant after miscarriage...

Hello everyone. I had a miscarriage just over 2 weeks ago (at 9 weeks). All came away naturally, the bleeding decreased and I stopped bleeding totally about one week ago. I did a pregnancy test today and it was showing a faint positive line. I was hoping some of you may be able to tell me how long it took before your test was negative, after going through this horrible event that so many of us unfortunately experience.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts....

unfortunately it took over a month for me to get a negative test...I was approx 8 weeks

It took me about three weeks, I think, and I was 7 weeks. I would guess that it could easily take longer than that for a 9 week pregnancy as the levels would be that much higher to begin with.

Thanks both. That would make sense I guess. Sorry for you both - isn't it miserable. It really does help to know we're not alone...

If it helps at all...the next month after a mc I fell pregant and had a gorgeous little girl...

It does hurt and you feel that a promise has been broken and your dreams stolen..but it is so common (something I didn't know until it happened to me) and most people go on to have a baby...Best of Luck x
