First period after miscarriage

Hi all.
I had a medicated MC mid May. Was 5+3 and it was missed till 8 weeks.
I'm expecting my first period. I've been testing negative ( on HCG sticks) for about a week, so I expect my period to come in the next few weeks since the hormone has dropped enough not to be detected.
I've been spotting really light pink very intermittently- every now and then when I wipe I see a bit, for about three days.

I had unprotected sex after my negative test. Only once.I think it's highly unlikely to have resulted in a pregnancy so I don't THINK this is implantation spotting.... but everything I'm reading says the first period after a MC will
likely be very heavy, so my question is

How was your first period after your MC and how soon after the MC did you first get one?

I want to be realistic and prepared

Hi. This probably isn't very helpful but I think everyone is different. I had a MMC in December and period didn't come back until April. Mine have been very light although more painful than they used to be so it could well be your period x

Thanks @MAS50 . The pink spotting on random wipes is still there, I'm getting strong cramps and lower back pains and nothing more so maybe it's heavy pain but not so much bleeding... I guess maybe there's a chance a period won't come for a while either.....
