So I found out I was pregnant on 23rd May by 3 positive HPT. On the 28th I began spotting which then turned into a period like bleeding that lasted 6 days and had clots the size of a 5p. Luckily had no physical pain..because it was bank holiday weekend I just sort of stayed home and rested as I knew there was not a lot I could do until after the weekend. I stopped bleeding on the 3rd June but since then I’ve had to episodes of dark brown bleeding with clots for 1 day. Is this normal?
I made an appointment at my EPU where they took my bloods on 5th June. (I just spent the time in between the start of my mc and 5th June just processing everything and grieving. Anyway my HCG levels were 78 I should of been 5 weeks. They didn’t offer me a scan or anything just told me to take a pregnancy test in 2 weeks. So I’m currently in the waiting game before I can test again to see if it’s negative.
I’m just wondering if they should of scanned me to see if it was complete or at least another blood test to see if the hormones are dropping. No ones for sure diagnosed a miscarriage but my tests aren’t getting darker so I’m guessing it probably is. I just feel like I’ve been left to it. I have so many concerns.. and they haven’t done anything about them. Like what if I’ve retained some tissue? What if it’s ectopic?
When can I start trying again? Me and my partner have been BD since the 3rd when I stopped bleeding and the day after the 2 episodes of 1 day bleeding..if I get pregnant before I have a period how do they date the pregnancy? I’m sorry I have so many questions . My gp was no help. I demanded another blood test to see where my levels are at and he said there would be no point in doing one as HCG levels drop slowly. Just told me to wait for 2 weeks.
