Is this a miscarriage?

I’m about 6-7 weeks pregnant,

Monday I was out for a walk and started bleeding, almost like a period, I leaked through my pants and shorts.

Put a pad on and ever since then I have been having what I can only describe as “dry bits” coming out in my wee. Yesterday in the shower I was washing and clumps came out and went down the drain. During the day I also had bad lower back pain and pain in my stomach area.

Today when wiping is have the same, and I wore I pad and there is large dark red clumps!

It might be, but not necessarily. The best thing to do is to contact your GP or Early Pregnancy unit first thing in the morning. You will need to have a scan. If the bleeding gets very heavy or you feel unwell or in pain go to A&E. Take care. You are not alone.

Hi, I’m sorry you’re in pain. The only way to real tell if it is a miscarriage is to visit your nearest Early pregnancy unit. They will scan and do some bloods. You will probably want to stock ip on pads. Take care of yourself x

Thank you both for your replies, I got in contact with my gp and she wasn’t too helpful, she didn’t seem to understand what I was saying but said she will ring me back tomorrow to see how I’m feeling. Is it better to just go straight to my early pregnancy unit?

I looked up about implantation bleeding and it looks or sound nothing like that

Definitely call your early pregnancy assessment unit/ If you dont know the number then call maternity and they can put you through. At 7 weeks they should be able to scan as they would expect to see a sac and potentially heartbeat if things are going okay

wishing you all the best x
