After an MVA

Hello,

Just had an MVA on Tuesday which went well, just wondering how long most people bleed for? I’ve basically stopped after 2 days but wondering if the very very light spotting (if that) will continue for a while. Also how soon is too soon for sex really is after a week okay or should I wait longer?

I had an erpc last week, had fresh red bleeding for 6 days and now having light brown spotting with the odd clot. My initial bleeding was quite light then it got heavier day 4/5 before easing off again. I think as long as you're not bleeding very heavily and not in too much pain etc then people can experience lots of different bleeding. I was advised to hold off on sex until the bleeding had stopped or at least settled but I think we're going to wait for at least another week. If you're concerned at all though call up your EPU/GP and they should be able to advise you what's best.

Hey, I had mine Tuesday and I bled way less than expected. I would say only a bit for a couple of days and then down to spotting after that.

Not sure about the sex part - was just told to wait for bleeding to stop but I expected that would take longer than it has!

For sex I was told 2 weeks or until all bleeding stopped.

I had a MVA last night, no bleeding today or cramps, baby was born sleeping 10 days ago at 16+1weeks.

I was told to take a pregnancy test after 3weeks.
