Medical Management Help

I am going into hopsital on Thursday for medical management of miscarriage.
I had a missed miscarriage, I should be 10+ weeks but lost baby at 6weeks.
I took first lot of tablets this morning and going into hospital as day patient on Thursday to be monitored and make sure everything passes.
I'm extremely anxious and overwhelmed with the whole thing and even more so as my husband isn't allowed to come with me and I have to go through it all alone.
Could anyone who has had this share your experience? I'd rather be prepared.
Stupid Q but what did you wear? Should I have like a dress on rather than trousers? Is it really painful? Are you on a ward or in own private room? What if its not all passed, will I be kept in? Sorry so many Qs I just have no idea what to expect. Thanks

In answer to your other questions, just wear whatever you’re comfortable in. I wore pyjamas.

My hospital didn’t scan me so we just went home and they told me to do a test 2-3weeks later. However unfortunately I did actually have retained product, which was finally confirmed as passed today! 5 weeks later.

@Elsie2021 thanks so much for this, I have just read your post and it has put me at ease. I go in tomorrow morning at 8am and I am very nervous. I had the first medication yesterday and started having quite bad cramps few hours ago and a bit of bleeding, went for a bath and it eased and nothing since thankfully as I'd rather it all happened tomorrow under hospital supervision.
I am just praying they allow my husband in with me tomorrow, I can't bare going through it alone.
How many weeks were you if you don't mind me asking and what kind of size is it when you pass? Just trying to prepare myself what to expect. The thought of seeing it is terrifying me to be honest. X

My baby stopped growing at 11 weeks so quite a bit later than yours.

I would imagine at 6 weeks there won’t be much for you to see at all. But if there is, it won’t be as bad as you thought. I actually found it quite comforting.

@Elsie2021 hi sorry just seeing this. Yes it all went to plan, could definitely see baby which was heartbreaking.

Thankfully my husband was allowed to be with me, I couldn't have got through that alone.

Thanks for your advice last week & checking in. I am just desperate to try again now, feel like it's the only thing keeping me going. Just hate the wait for a negative pregnancy test! X
