Folic acid after miscarriage

Hi, I had a miscarriage about a week ago, at 11 weeks pregnant.
Had erpc and going to wait for a period, but then planning to start ttc again after this.
When I found out I was pregnant, my midwife put me on 5mg folic acid as my BMI is just over the 30 mark, at 31/32.
I'm wondering whether i should be continuing to take the 5mg folic acid in the interim or just regular 400mcg folic acid available in boots etc. Also going to spend the next month trying to shift a stone to get bmi below 30.
I will try to get through the my dr about it this week, just wondering if anyone had any advice from a similar position. Thanks xx

I'm in the exact same position, BMI 31 so was on 5mg. I've started taking the standard folic acid and vit d again as I'd been taking that 3 months before TTC then the 5mg once pregnant so going on the basis I should have a decent level of folic acid built up now. Then I'll go back to 5mg if I fall pregnant. But maybe contacting GP is a good idea, as maybe it isn't enough?

Also hoping to lose a little weight before hopefully conceiving again, my appetite has completely gone since finding out about mmc but I'm still having aversions to healthy food from pregnancy so the little I am eating is carbs. Hoping this will fade soon as I had erpc this week too

I lost my baby at 16+1 weeks last week. I'm also on 5mg folic acid due to a bmi of32.

I've started taking the 5mg again, I was under fertility team and took it for 12months before this pregnancy
