Medical Management - Advice Please

I had a medical management for my MC yesterday. It was a twin pregnancy. The various tablets were administered just before 1 and I 'think' that I passed 2 sacs at around 6:30pm yesterday evening, I didn't look. I've had two intense periods of pain - around 5pm yesterday and again at around 7pm, first for about 30 mins and then around 90 mins. I haven't bled overly heavily and this is my worry as I haven't really bled at all today. Should I be concerned? I have to call the EPAU on Monday for a follow up chat.

Could anyone advise or share their experience?

Thanks.

So sorry you're going through that. I was surprised that I didn't bleed that much. It was mostly during the first day and day 2 I passed something then didn't bleed much after that. I think all you can do is wait. I did end up having a private scan to check everything had cleared because I was concerned. Look after yourself.

@LillyLeaf thank you for sharing your experience. I think that I was expecting it to be much like a period or worse in terms of bleeding. I suppose everyone is different. I can only wait it out and be grateful if this is as bad as it's going to get.

Hi OP, I'm so sorry for your loss. Its incredibly difficult.

I had a MMC last month and went with the medical management option. 9+3. I had one bout of extreme cramps c. 1 hour then a lot of blood and clots for about 7 hours after. I woke up after a nap and my bed was soaked and passed the sac. That night my hubby brought me to emergency and the bleeding got so bad and had to stay overnight.

They did a scan the following day and there was a lot of tissue left which I was surprised by, and had to go medical again which didn't work. 2 weeks later I had an ERPC.

My advice is to ring the EPAU and go in if you need to. That's what they are there for. However they may tell you that all tissue can pass over 2 weeks. Also if you have sharp cramps in your cervix area it could be a sign that clots are stuck and need to be removed, so look out for that.

Lots of love x

I had a MMC with medical management on the 16th March. I started having really bad pain and bleeding within about an hour. Once I had passed it, the pain stopped but the bleeding was quite heavy for the first 2 days but I kept bleeding for 10 days after.
It’s now been almost 7 weeks since my MMC and
I have been to the EPU Twice for bloods and the level of hcg was decreased from 85 to 44 in the space of a week but that was 2 weeks ago. I’ve still had no period and I am still testing positive (faint lines) on hpt. They just said it’s taking longer to get out of my system.

I am so sorry for your loss Thanks
I found out we had suffered a MMC last Friday and took the medical management route on Tuesday, yesterday was the worst day of them all and I passed about 3 clots the size of lemons I was mortified - I'm so thankful my fiancé was there with me, today I've only had light bleeding and I'm praying that will be it for me as yesterday I was in so much pain.

I didn't expect that as I'd read most people pass some blood/clots and then that's it, I have a appointment with epu in 2 weeks, I'm praying I don't have to go down the surgical route

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I'm sorry that you have experienced loss too.
The bleeding has picked up a little since Monday but still not at a level that I had anticipated that it would be. The EPAS confirmed to do a test 3 weeks from date of procedure and if it's still positive, we'll deal with it then. I just want it to be over now.
