Scan for ‘retained product’

I am having a scan tomorrow to check for retained product after a miscarriage 3 weeks ago as I’m still testing positive and bleeding.

Could anyone advise if it’s likely to be vaginal or abdominal?

I'm sorry for your loss. When I had a scan for retained products it was vaginal, but what I would say it was no where near as bad as uncomfortable as I expected.
