Ovulation after miscarriage

Hi all,

I sadly miscarried 11 days ago, I’ve stopped bleeding but a preg test is still showing a very faint positive. Am I right in thinking I will not ovulate again until the HCG is completely out of the system? I know everyone is different but how long after that is it possible to ovulate??

Thanks Mel

Most studies suggest you cannot ovulate until hcg is below 10. That would mean v faint on a FRER and negative on any other test

So sorry for your loss.

My HCG returned to zero around 3.5 weeks later, although I had although started TTC again I had my first period and I ovulated 8.5 weeks after my MC.

So sorry for your loss, OP.

When we miscarried in January it took about 3 - 4 weeks after the MC for a pregnancy test to read negative. I was advised by my doctor to wait until I got a period before trying again, but think that was more for mental health than because it physically wouldn't be possible to conceive. Sorry I can't offer more concrete advice - just my own experience.

Sending good thoughts your way.
