Pregnant immediately after miscarriage

I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice - beginning of March I fell pregnant which was wonderful but a few days later had a bleed and a scan confirmed there was nothing present. I would have only been 2-3 weeks. Last few days I’ve been feeling pretty tired and sick. Took a test and it says 2-3 weeks pregnant, it was exactly 3 weeks and 1 day after the hospital confirmed the bleed was a miscarriage. I didn’t know you could fall pregnant before having a period and didn’t think it was possible it could happen that quickly. Anyone been in the same boat? Thanks so much

Yes, I have. I know of others as well. You’re usually advised against it because of dating concerns but no other reason.

You are said to be a lot more fertile right after a miscarriage

Thank you both. I think it’s the dates I’m struggling with as I haven’t got a period to go by! Somehow 2-3 weeks just doesn’t seem right to me

If you ovulated straight after your miscarriage, the test showing 2-3 weeks would be correct.

It will be hard to date though as this is the one reason they suggest waiting

Hi @Dumbo18

Are you sure you definitely lost the baby the first time round, I wonder if it was possible it was just earlier than you expected and so nothing to see at the scan?? Might be worth trying to get an early scan in a couple more weeks to see where you are Dated at. Hope all goes well for you xx
