I had a MC at 6 weeks in May 2020, and a MMC two weeks ago in March 2021. I believed that I was 12 weeks, started bleeding, scan showed no heartbeat and fetus measuring only 8 weeks.
I went down the medically managed route - Mifepristone on the day of the scan, and Misprostol 2 days later. Went in to an immediate kind of 'labour' after the Misoprostol which was very extreme for about an hour then the sac burst and I lost the fetus followed by lots of placenta like tissue.
Bleeding stopped completely after 3 days, then it restarted 1 week after the misoprostol day. I lost a tiny little bit more placenta like tissue during this second bout of bleeding, and then it stopped again after a couple of days.
HCG test shows very bold line on day of misoprostol, very faint line 1 week later, no line today (2 weeks later).
Ovulation tests show very faint line 1 week after misoprostol (this was during time of 2nd bout of bleeding) and strengthening line today which is 2 weeks after misoprostol.
I am now thinking that the 2nd bout of bleeding (1 week after delivery) could therefore have been my period and that my cycle might be back on track.
Would it be OK to try again so soon? Based on 2nd bout of bleeding being my period, Ovia app shows that fertile window starts this Friday coming.
I'm 40 and with 2 miscarriages in 8 months I don't want to waste time if I don't have to.
