How long before bleeding stops after miscarriage?

I would really love your help, and if you could answer my questions 🙏🙏🙏🙏 it would be so helpful!

I started spotting brown at 5Weeks +1 day and started red bleeding at 6Weeks + 2 days but started proper flowing/heavy bleeding with clots (so sorry for the TMI) @ just under 7 weeks. It is almost a week later, and I'm still bleeding but it had lightened. I had a scan to say the sac had passed and am going for bloods on Friday. I'm wondering the following:

1. When should I expect to stop seeing red?
2. When should I expect to see a negative pregnancy test?
3. Does HCG have to be 0 to ovulate?
4. Once HCG is 0 will ovulation happen then or is it 14 days after?!

I would REALLY appreciate any help as I'm going out of my mind with worry and wondering.

I also was given 400 mg of cytotec to take on Sunday, 2 days ago

I don’t think anyone can give you an exact answer as it’s different for everyone
It could be a couple more days or a couple more weeks you stop bleeding
It could be 3 weeks before you see a negative pregnancy test

My personal experience was that I stopped bleeding after 10 days & got a negative test 2 weeks after MC. Hope you’re doing okay & happy to talk to you if you need someone x

My answers from our group on here, reading and talking to medical professionals:

1. When should I expect to stop seeing red?
You should stop bleeding within 3 weeks of MC/sac passing. In general, it should slow and become brown. If it ever speeds up or goes through a pad in an hour, talk to a medic. Through a pad in half an hour, to a and e.

2. When should I expect to see a negative pregnancy test?
Talk to EPU if not negative 3 weeks after sac passing. In our group in here this happened anything between 2-9 weeks after MC.
3. Does HCG have to be 0 to ovulate?
No, but it has to be v low (around hcg 5 or less). A couple of people have ovulated with a whisper of a line still on a FRER.
4. Once HCG is 0 will ovulation happen then or is it 14 days after?!
First ovulation can be dead unpredictable. Professionals might tell you to wait until after a first period to try again and certainly to wait until a negative pregnancy test.
