10w2 days bleed

Desperately looking for some advice or reassurance.

Currently 10w2days with first baby, today I had a huge bleed that soaked through my jeans down my legs sort of huge but no pain. I have been to a&e only to be told due to my scan showing nothing about where the bleed could be from 2 days ago they were not going to scan me. She said it was a threatened miscarriage. She has told me to go home and see how I get on. Please tell me someone experienced this and it was ok?

I'd have first guessed subchorionic haematoma but that would have been seen on the scan. I'm so sorry lovely I'll cross my fingers

My thought too. I had many bleeds from 5 - 9 weeks due to this. Was constantly told to just wait and see what happened. He's currently sat on my knee as a happy crazy 2 year old Grin. Have you tried going to epau? Good luck!
chocolatesauceandicecream · 12/03/2021 06:55

Hi both, I have been to EPU but they say I'm too far along and won't scan me as scan was fine two days ago and then said if it's going to happen it's going to happen. In all fairness the scan picture they took were not clear at all due to empty bladder so would this have even picked anything up?

Your scan might not have picked it up. Have you got your 12 week scan booked in?
justanotherneighinparadise · 12/03/2021 07:02

The no pain thing is a good sign I think. You need another scan even if you have to pay for it.

chocolatesauceandicecream · 12/03/2021 07:03

I have a scan on the 23rd but obviously I feel nothing but worry right now, I'm thinking about just booking private but earliest is Monday.

These are the clearest pics they got so would a bleed have shown on these clearly?x

I would try and get a private scan, just to help put your mind at ease x

chocolatesauceandicecream · 12/03/2021 07:46

@littlemisschoclover I'm going to see if there is any before Monday. Do you think it's possible for the original scan to have missed a bleed?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. In my first pregnancy I had a big scary bleed at 23 weeks with no pain which turned out to be cervical erosion. I’m currently 11 weeks pregnant and had some red spotting this week but all fine in the scan from EPU. Are you still bleeding? Have you spoken to your GP/midwife? My recent google frenzy suggests not all bleeding is bad bleeding and I hope all turns out well for you.

Yes I'm guessing they probably could have missed it. My bleeds were mainly small but then I did have a sudden big one (enough to fill the toilet) and they told me to expect the worst but everything was fine x

chocolatesauceandicecream · 12/03/2021 07:52

@Aozora13 I'm not longer heavy bleeding just red blood when I wipe. EPU won't do anything as they said scan was ok 2 days ago and there is nothing they can do. I don't have any pain however I have been suffering with UTI's from the start. Hope all is good with you I to am on a google frenzy..

Hi managed to book a scan with a private company at 12pm so fingers crossed all is ok 🤞

Wjth SCH can you just develop that or is it something from the start of your pregnancy that's always there?

Best of luck for this afternoon, I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

Twizbe · 12/03/2021 08:26

I had big bleeds like this due to Subchornic haematomas. I had them in both pregnancies and the biggest bleed was around 9 weeks both times.

With my daughter they didn't see the bleed on the scan but due to my history with my eldest they were pretty sure it was the same. The big bleed was the last of it to come out.

I think it's always there and something to do with how the pregnancy implants. Because I had one with both my pregnancies I assumed it's just something my body does
chocolatesauceandicecream · 12/03/2021 08:43

@Aozora13 thank you xx

@Twizbe glad everything was ok for you. The bleeding has all stopped it is just maybe a bit brown when I go to the toilet. I feel ok about it as everything was ok 2days ago but worried about why nothing was on scan.

Will keep everything crossed for you today, let us know how you get on x

chocolatesauceandicecream · 12/03/2021 13:32

Little update the bleeding has seemed to stop baby is fine, but still no reason as to why the bleed happened 🤷🏼‍♀️x

Really glad everything is ok! X

chocolatesauceandicecream · 13/03/2021 21:14

Wondering if maybe everything is not ok? After checking my knickers today still brown blood there 😞

I bled from 7-12 weeks with my daughter. It was awful and so scary - I’d had previous miscarriages, so was very worried. I’d suggest taking it easy for a few days if you can. Good luck x
