This is my first pregnancy, I'm 13.5 weeks along. I had my dating scan last week and everything was fine, apart from that I have a large (90cm) fibroid near my birth canal. It has given me some discomfort but 2 days ago I felt a sharp pain in that area and last night I started bleeding bright red blood and passed a few blood clots (definitely blood clots rather than anything else, I get these in my normal periods). It was similar in heaviness to a period and I filled one pad by ~70%. Anyway the bleeding has stopped now and I'm still waiting for the hospital to book a scan.
Does anyone have any experience of miscarriage where it starts and stops like this, or of complications of fibroids? I hate that I have to wait for a scan to find out what's happening.
