Miscarried at 4-5 weeks

Hello everyone I hope you are well.

Just wanted to see if anyone would mind sharing their experience.

I found out i was pregnant 17th Jan 2021, clear blue test said 2-3 weeks. I then got stomach ache a few days later and around 2 weeks later had an early scan which showed nothing, no evidence there ever was a pregnancy. Blood tests confirmed I had miscarried.

I've had a look and it says that my period should arrive in 4-6 weeks. Just wondering how long it took for people's periods to come with a similar miscarriage?

I began bleeding 28th January and this lasted until 4th February, do you count the 4-6 weeks from the first day of bleeding or the last?

My final HCG blood test was on the 30th jan with a reading of 50.

I miscarried when I was a couple weeks further on than you and it took just over 6 weeks to get 1st period, then second period about 5 weeks. My cycle has settled to be 4 days shorter than it was pre miscarriage for the last 3 months, which I wasn’t expecting.

I counted the start of the bleeding as CD 1, not sure if that’s correct or not.

Hopefully it'll come next week then, the waiting game makes the process a whole lot harder doesn't it. The hospital said they would send some paperwork but never did! Nightmare.

I hope it does come next week, but also some people do fall pregnant very next month, so you never know. So fingers crossed for that! EPU never told me to expect a delayed period, so I def squinted at some (non existent) lines that 1st and 2nd month after due to the lateness!

Okay here thanks, I’m actually a week late for current period, neg tests, so waiting to see if this is a new cycle curve ball.

Would be amazing if that was the case but trying not to get my hopes up too much. Did a test today which was negative so will do another on the 18th if it still hasn't arrived.

Fingers crossed its not just late and you have some wonderful news to come in a few more days! Ill keep my fingers crossed for you.

My cycle was already around 35 days so hopefully if nothing else this experience makes it shorter!
