Please has anyone been in the same or similar situation as me!? Had a MMC found out 6th Dec. Had an MVA (similar to D&C for those who don’t know) 17th Dec. HCG was still slightly raised 4 weeks later and scan showed thickened womb in one area which they said could be retained product, fibroid, polyp or “just one of them things”. 6+2 weeks after MVA I get my first period. Go for a rescan after my period and STILL showing thickness. 3 1/2 week wait for an “emergency” hysteroscopy which was today. And the consultant confirmed it looks like retained product attached to the wall of my womb. Now told I have to wait for biopsy results to confirm but likely need a D&C for another clean out. I worked out the embryo stopped developing around the 18th November. Here we are over 3 months later and they are telling me there is still something inside of me. I’m freaking out! Do I demand for this to be sorted right now!? Im so scared the risk of infection amd future fertility. Im completely petrified and devastated I mentally cant take much more.

@MandsH hey Hun

I know this was a while back but wanted to ask how it all went ? Only I'm in a similar situation and it's so hard.
Thanks

Hi hun. The hysteroscopy (which was awful btw!) confirmed retained product and I ended up having a d&c under general anaesthetic. It was a scary and emotional. time but I had absolutely no problems after the d&c and my periods returned to normal quickly after. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask hun. Thinking of you x

@MandsH thanks Hunny, I got a negative last week. And been tracking my ovulation now which is still negative so not sure if I'm ovulating now :-( always something to worry about isn't there x

@Lozzi90 try not to worry too much hun (easier said than done I know). It took my periods a couple months to get back to normal afterwards but when they did they were more regular than ever. We’re all different but your body has just been through an ordeal so try to be kind to yourself. Sending hugs x
