Could I possibly be having a miscarriage?

I had the implant put in last summer. I bled for 5 months straight so I got it removed November time. Was also on the pill but carried on bleeding so stopped taking the pill just before Christmas

I had unprotected sex New Year's Eve. Now bleeding for the first time since then. Really heavy painful period.

I'm soaking through a tampon/pad within an hour and half. My periods have never been this heavy or painful.

I haven't taken a pregnancy test since having unprotected sex.

But wondering if this could be a miscarriage?

Have you taken a pregnancy test? It takes a while for hormone levels to drop after a miscarriage so it's likely it would still be positive if you were having a miscarriage.
