3 chemical pregnancies

I'm currently going through my 3rd chemical pregnancy in a row.

We started casually trying for our first baby last August. First chemical was in September. We started trying seriously from December and I had another chemical that cycle. The next cycle I got pregnant once again but am miscarrying right now due to another chemical.

Does anyone have any success stories after 3 chemicals?

From my research, 3 chemicals are unusual and only about 1-10% of women experience recurring miscarriages. I had bloods done 2 months ago and everything came back fine, I have no known issues. Its heartbreaking and frustrating that it keeps happening. I am trying to stay hopeful but it's difficult.

Hey, don't lose hope.

I had 3 and a miscarriage at 6 weeks. We saw a specialist consultant who said to us that chemical pregnancy actually is more common than people think it's just they often go unnoticed unless you are testing quite early.

She advised me to stop testing until at least a week after period was due as it was stressful and upsetting and that doesn't help when trying to conceive.

Her other advice was sex twice a week throughout the month, vitamins for both you and dp and less alcohol and caffeine.

We had our successful pregnancy 2 cycles after that Smile

Also I'm sorry for your losses Thanks however early it is still heartbreaking.

I totally agree and think chemical pregnancies happen more often than people think or realise. My problem is I get a feeling I'm pregnant before I see the test so then I desperately want to test, I've got no patience.

We're already doing everything else you've mentioned, I'm hoping it's just bad luck and soon it will be our time.

I'm glad things have worked out for you, it helps me stay hopeful. Thank you for sharing your experience x

Hi op, I thought I'd check in and see how you are doing Smile

Hi @thaimoon that's very lovely of you! Not great news over here. I had another early loss in my last cycle that happened about a week later than the others have before. I found out that I have a bicornuate uterus (heart shaped uterus) which shouldn't be causing the losses but who knows.

We're still continuing to try though. In month 8 now. Trying to stay positive and hopeful. Waiting for my fertility specialist referral to come through but am not counting on it as the wait is so long and my hospital has had no appointments during covid, I can't imagine what the wait is like there. I've done everything I can do with my GP. Hoping for the best now.

Hope you're doing well?

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that you've had another loss Thanks

I'll keep you in my thoughts and sending lots of positivity and hope for your journey going forward.
