Miscarriage?

I just finished the strangest period on Saturday, it was so heavy and lasted 10 days which has never happened before. No cramping.
Today woken up with bad period cramps in my stomach and down my legs and back and full heavy period back again as if its day one of my period starting again.
Never had anything like this before and wondering if it could be an early miscarriage as I had unprotected sex at the start of my last cycle.
Would a test show anything if I took one after all this bleeding? I guess there's no way of knowing if not, just wondering of anyone's experiences.

To add between Saturday and today although there's been no bleeding I have lost a few pieces of bright red tissue which appeared on wiping and one bit also fell into the toilet a few days ago too

I would go and see a gp for any unusual bleeding. Good luck xx

I've spoken to doc and they said it does sound like a miscarriage and I've to ring the epu if it goes bright red again x

Have you tried a pregnancy test? If a MC it would often still be positive

Tested first thing this morning and there was a shadow of a line. Tested again later and nothing.
It's still quite heavy and clots coming out now
