I was or am 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant I passed a blood clot the size of a £2 coin and flattish I have a picture but it’s a bit graphic and I will post it if asked, I bled a bit and made a temporary make shit tampon out of tissue as I was at work and when I got home it was saturated with blood.. that was all the bleeding that occurred and now I’m brown spotting, it’s been 4 days since and still getting strong positives and still feeling all the symptoms under them sun.. I know that’s possible for weeks after a MC but is there any hope for me? The EPU won’t see me till Monday

That looks like a clot to me. At the stage you are my miscarriage product (sorry couldn’t think of a word for it) looked different. I’m sorry the EPU can’t see you until Monday (I’ve been in a similar position)

Fingers crossed for you

Crossing my fingers for you. Bits of lining or pockets of blood can come away without ending a pregnancy. Hope it's good news for you

I took this test this morning and baring in mind it’s been 5 days since this happened I would have thought it would have been getting lighter by now

How did you get on? All ok?

Shaniac · 06/02/2021 02:23

I hope everything turned out well for you op. But i think there should be a disclaimer on mumsnet for anyone else going through similar. You can have a strong pregnancy test for 3 or 4 weeks after a completed miscarriage. A positive test is not an indication of no miscarriage unfortunately.

Hi OP, hope you are alright, how stressful.

If it helps, with my 1 year old DS I was told I had a subchorionic haematoma which caused some spotting and have read they can also cause clots. Pregnancy was absolutely fine and he is happy and healthy, but I was worried sick in those early stages!

Nursey2021 · 06/02/2021 11:35

So, I went for a scan and there was a heartbeat, fast forward a a week or so a recan and there was no heartbeat and baby was measuring much smaller so I ended up having to do a MVA and had it sent away for testing :( hopefully I may have some answers thanks for checking in x

I have only just seen this but that exactly what I started with. Without grossing anyone out too much I actually had hubby dissect it for something. God knows what we expected to find but it felt like we might get an answer if it gives you any hope though this is my journey

I am 5 weeks pregnant. Yesterday upon wiping there was some pink spotting. And today, this came out when I went to the washroom. No pain. Am really worried in case it could be a miscarriage.
any advice greatly appreciated

I have no previous experiences as this would be my first but could this possibly mean I've miscarried?
I'm 6/7 weeks I think. Sorry if it's TMI.
