So I had a scan last Tuesday which found that my baby was measuring 4 weeks behind. I was told that it's likely I'll miscarriage but have a scan booked for Tuesday to confirm.
I've now started miscarrying naturally but the pain is horrendous and I'm bleeding and passing lots of clots - which I know is normal as this is my third miscarriage. What do I do about my scan? Should I call the EPU and let them know I'm miscarrying naturally? I really can't think of anything worse than an internal scan right now.
This is different from my previous MCs as before I was told I was miscarrying before the bleeding and cramps really started properly.
I could really do with some better painkillers too as paracetamol is making no difference but I just have no idea what to do.

Okay ignore this I was having a mini meltdown. I've called EPU and it's fine.

Morning I'm so sorry this is happening to you.
I'm in the middle of a miscarriage too, confirmed on Tuesday last that things had not developed to where they should have.
Also my third miscarriage. Life is a shitter sometimes.
I hope you are feeling ok ish having spoken to epu.
I have stocked up some nurofen plus. But given that things were measuring very small I am hoping that this one is actually like a heavy period (you know like they promise and the stupid leaflets say).

@MrsSmith2021 thank you x

@Miami81 it's awful isn't it. I spoke to the EPU who said I can come in if I feel I'm not managing. This pain is absolutely unbearable and I have a high pain threshold so just getting my OH to get me some codeine. Fingers crossed that helps me.

I'm sorry for your losses, this is so hard isn't it Sad If you have had three miscarriages, make sure they explain to you the process for being referred for testing (assuming you want to keep trying). Flowers

amazilan · 17/01/2021 13:06

@Iggi999 at my scan last week they said about being referred once this miscarriage is confirmed so I'll make sure to ask about it this week

Thanks. I have already had all the recurrent miscarriage tests as I have also gone on to have complications later in pregnancy also.
I will check with them when they ring me tomorrow from epu if there are any other tests they can offer. Thanks
