Hi everyone, Just looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience with this type of pain... 2 weeks ago I had a medically managed miscarriage (with Mifepristone & Misoprostol). My pregnancy stopped at 6 weeks. On Day 1 of the miscarriage I had the expected ( actually worse than expected) horrible cramps and passing of tissue. Day 2 it continued as "bad period cramps" and was specifically in my uterus and lower back like a normal period would be. That lasted a few days along with period like bleeding for a week and then tapered off to no uterus cramps and dark brown/grey spotting...However, simultaneously on Day 3 after miscarriage I began feeling pinching and twinges in my lower left and right sides ( what I thought would be my Ovary area.) Sometimes it is pinching pain that lasts a few seconds (1-10 sec) other times it is more aching or burning pain and is persistent, but the pain is on and off all day long with little breaks. At times it is quick and minor and other times it causes me to cripple over and clutch my side. It has been present for 2 weeks now and does not seem to be tapering off.
I spoke with 2 Gynaecologist and both said they do not know exactly what it is but it is probably related to the miscarriage and changes in my pelvic area and it should go away with time. I had a topical pelvic ultrasound yesterday and they said it was "Clear and Normal" with no remaining pregnancy tissue and no abnormalities in my pelvic area. My HCG levels are also dropping regularly. So no risk of infection from Miscarriage and no cysts/fibroids.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced pinching side pains like this after a miscarriage? And if so, how long did it last for? The emotional pain is a lot to handle but having persistent undiagnosed pain on top of that is making my anxiety go through the roof :(
