Incomplete miscarriage advice needed pls

Hi everyone, on the 6 th of December I miscarried my longed for baby who I got pregnant with through IVF. I bled for about 10 days quite heavily. I thought that was it.

Yesterday I had an ultrasound and found out that there is still some left😭 I am going to my gyno today to discuss but just wanted to see if anyone had been through this? How was it managed and did it take long to recover?

I’m completely devastated as we were supposed to try IVF again in Feb but if I do medical management it will be delayed at least three months.

I'm in the same boat. I had surgical miscarriage on 7th Dec and I still have a 16mm x 10mm piece of tissue. Gynae consultant is doing expectant management until 21st jan but if it hasn't happened naturally then medical management.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you, I had the same thing recently. I miscarried at 10 weeks on December 1st-3rd, had a scan on the 5th and they said it was incomplete as there was some tissue left, and to come back on the 18th for another scan. It was still incomplete then but only because the lining was 2mm above the maximum they want it to be. Realistically I think they should have left longer before that scan. I took the meds to hopefully get rid of it, they didn't work and I was dreading possibly having a d&c but I got my period on December 24th when I would've expected it with my normal cycle and was given the all clear a week ago at another scan.

Thanks @Garman that is positive to hear. I had an ERCP on 7/12, had medical management on Thursday for a small piece of retained tissue. Nothing has really happened. I'm back for another scan on 21/1 but pretty sure I'll need surgery.

Hey, new to this, I had a missed miscarriage confirmed at 11 weeks (18/12), my twins never made it past 6/7 weeks. Told to wait 2 weeks for a rescan but miscarried christmas day. Confirmed as incomplete miscarriage on 04/01, tried medical management that didn't work but I naturally have started passing the retained tissue now waiting for my negative. Some of us just don't have a smooth ride but hopefully our bodies do as they should eventually and allow us to repair and start to move past this heartache stay strong
