Bleeding for 19 days. Positive test

Hi everyone. I started bleeding on the day my period was due so presumed it was my period and I wasn’t pregnant. My periods usually last 5 days and I was still bleeding on day 10. I took my ovulation kit just to see what it said and I got a solid smiley so decided to do a pregnancy test to rule out being pregnant. The test was positive. I called 111 as obviously bleeding isn’t a great sign. The doctor said it was likely a miscarriage which would have made me 5 weeks pregnant and to do a test in a weeks time ams “it should be negative”. I did another test today, which is 8 days after I did the test and got a positive and it’s still positive. Could I still be pregnant or is it likely my hormones are still up? The day I did the test I felt so poorly, almost feverish and had no energy. Two days later I felt fine again but still bleeding now and it’s been 19 days. I’m really not sure what I do :-( can anyone help?

I would wait another week and test again (can take 3 weeks) Is the test line getting weaker?

If you feel feverish/fluey, have a temperature, or if the bleeding is heavy (a pad an hour) or increases, you should call the EPU/EPAS for your area

Hello! I had similar. Contact your EPU and they will see you for scans and blood tests to see what's going on in there! It wasn't good news for me unfortunately but I hope it's better for you

Thank you so much. I called 111 today and they sent me to the hospital immediately. They only performed a blood & urine test but the test still showed as positive. I need to go back for a scan in a few days time. Such a rollercoaster isn’t it. The doctor last week said miscarriage, today he’s said I could still be pregnant & some women do just bleed. So it will be a crappy few days waiting I’m sure. Thanks so much for the responses, I really do appreciate it x
