Threatened miscarriage

Hi everyone, I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and we've been trying for a long time. Today I had some bleeding at work and long story short the early pregnancy unit diagnosed me with a 'threatened miscarriage' so I think I basically have to wait and see if I have a miscarriage or not.
I was wondering if anyone knows how long this threatened miscarriage lasts for? Am I waiting now just for months to see if I have a miscarriage? When can I stop worrying? Any help would be great x

Hi @mariela88 just bumping this for you and hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along soon with some useful advice.

I was about 8 weeks pregnant when I started to bleed and they diagnosed me with a threatened miscarriage. I knew I was having a miscarriage by the next day as the bleeding got heavier and I started to have pain too. It lasted exactly for 2 weeks. If you haven`t started bleeding heavier yet, I believe that is a good sign. Unfortunately it is a waiting game, you will probably know in a week.
