I’m in the process of going through my third miscarriage since May this year. First was at 7wk6 day and I’d seen the heartbeat twice (I’d been under the care of EPU) as I just didn’t feel right and had some pain, second was only about 5 weeks so I’d had no scans and this last one was a blighted ovum at 8 weeks 5 days.
The thing that I’ve found most strange is that during the first pregnancy I noticed that my legs and ankles were really swollen and tight. As soon as I had the miscarriage it disappeared. Just before the second miscarriage my feet went huge and this time, the day I passed the sac (yesterday) my ankle bones were none existent and I woke up with really swollen eyes.
I know it sounds odd but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and if there is any link to what may be causing my miscarriages? I also have colitis and had stopped taking my steroids before I got pregnant so I wonder if I have some kind of autoimmune problem as it hasn’t been confirmed yet as to what is causing the colitis.
If anyone can shed any light I would be most grateful.
