Bleeding after MVA/has anyone needed a repeat MVA?

As a backstory, I had an incomplete miscarriage on 07/11 and had an MVA to remove the remaining tissue last Tuesday 24/11. I had quite a bit of bleeding on the Tuesday, but it settled really quickly and I had really light spotting for the rest of the week.

I've had much heavier bleeding and pain since yesterday, it's more like a period both in terms of heaviness of bleeding and cramping pain. I called the EPU who said to see what happens but it might be that there is still some tissue remaining and I might need to go back in if the bleeding doesn't settle.

Has anyone else had this? What was the outcome? Did you have to have another MVA or did it sort itself out?

This was a MMC at 7ish weeks after our final round of IVF and I just feel so exhausted by it all. I want it to be over and it just keeps dragging on and on and on.

Hey, I had an MVA back at the start of October and was still testing positive on tests. Went back and they discovered I had retained products. I then has to have an ERPC. Make sure the EPU scan you to make sure.

Hi @Collins99 thanks for posting. How long after did you have the ERPC? They have told me to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after the MVA so will do that but don't know whether to just wait until then or try to contact them before to ask for a scan. The bleeding has eased, thankfully.

@testingtesting321 I had the ERPC just a bit over 3 weeks. Yeah I would test at 3 weeks, if the bleeding hasn't subsided a little and pain after 2 weeks I'd definitely give them a call because you could have a little infection. The main thing I would go off though as long as your feeling okay is the positive test at 3 weeks.
