Hello all, first post here so sorry if I make mistakes! Me and my partner are in the first two months of trying for a baby, took a couple tests but definitely not enough as it's been a stressful couple weeks so I think I did them too early and they were negative btw.

I have PCOS and haven't had a period without taking medication since last February and I was pleased a couple days ago I started bleeding, but then today a very large clot came out and it was nothing like I have experienced before and it didnt feel right. Mum told me to phone doctors but I don't know what to say or if they can even find out? I took a photo of the clot incase it would be helpful for the doctor to see but dont know if this is a bit strange.

Sorry if this is all over the place, I'm a little anxious and confused right now and would really just love advice as I'm only 24 and this is our first baby we are trying for. Thank you all

@Silverlight6 so sorry to hear you are going through this. Have you managed to speak to your doctor yet? I've had 3 miscarriages this year and the tissue I passed was noticeably different. Can you post the picture? X

Hi @Silverlight6 - I'm sorry to hear about this. It's possible that you were pregnant and this is a v early miscarriage but it's also possible that this is just part of the cycle irregularities and womb lining irregularities that can occur with PCOS. The best thing would be to talk to your GP and show them the image too. Sounds very stressful and I feel for you x

It's possible it's an early miscarriage but it may not be. I think without a sample for testing you're unlikely to know for sure but speak to your GP. How're you feeling? Many of us have been in similar situations but you will get through it. Do you have close friends/family you could talk to? Don't bottle up your feelings, TTC can be hard. You may have health issues but you're young and time is on your side. I had issues conceiving (didn't start trying till I was 36) and didn't have a baby for 5 years! You've plenty of time, it'll happen but there may be more bumps in the road, just try to relax. Good luck xxx

Hi - I've got two children now but had multiple misscarriages and strange happenings when ttc. Your body sometimes needs a bit of time to get used to doing the mechanics of pregnancy, this may be one of those times, I had multiple positive PT but ended up having a period a few days or a week or so later, also felt pregnant, late period with no test but sure something was happening, but it didn't work out that time. Give yourself time and be kind to yourself, it sounds like your body is changing, one consultant said 'your body is getting primed for pregnancy' and low and behold I fell pregnant not long after - good luck and be positive
