Second miscarriage and infection

Unfortunately I had a second miscarriage this year at 9weeks which happened nearly 4 weeks ago. I was given antibiotics by the EPU because the discharge I have been having was horrendous. I had 2 internal scans done and they couldn’t see any remaining tissue but my womb lining had thickened. The bleeding eased off at the beginning of last week but has been coming and going since and I’ve been having period like pains again. I’m waiting for blood test results from my GP who isn’t sure what’s going.

I’m just a bit concerned and was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar?

Hi @littlepinapple I know this post is a little older now but I was curious to the outcome of your situation?

I had a MMC at 11weeks at the end of September, had medical management a week later on Oct 6th and then had to have the meds again about 3 and a half weeks later due to a positive pregnancy test, continued bleeding & retained products. That was on the 30th of October and although I had a negative pregnancy test a week later I'm still having wierd light bleeding/cloudy/bloody discharge (sorry tmi) that hasn't stopped. It's eased alot and isn't like a normal flow but it's more than spotting. It's so annoying... Its been nearly 10 weeks since I went into hospital for the 1st medical management and never did I imagine it still wouldn't be resolved.

We (EPU & myself) assumed it had all been passed due to the negative test but as its now 6 weeks later and still no respite, I'm due to have a re-scan tomorrow to check if my uterus is empty or not and they're considering possible infection.

Feeling very fed up but I've not found anything even vaguely similar to my experience online until I just came across your post. Hopefully hear back from you soon xx

Hi all, I'm sorry I don't know how to post a new thread/conversation. I was hoping for some advice.

I've basically been told a few years ago that I have a thickened womb lining. However, I have had one successful pregnancy 6 years previous. Didnt plan on anymore until I met my life partner, then we had 1 miscarriage and 4 chemical pregnancy in less than a year. I'm wondering if there is medicine I can take or herbal remedies to try and reduce my lining so we have a better chance in future. It's absolutely heartbreaking and I have given up in honesty.

I do hope this isn't too sensitive to ask x
