Hi,

I had a scan today which showed the heart had stopped beating. I've had two previous miscarriages so I went private this time and got prescribed clexane, prednisolone, metformin, high dose folic acid and progesterone (cyclogest). No tests were done, this was all 'it's worth a go.' Obviously none of this has helped so we will he referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic.

What tests will we get? Should we be asking for anything specific? The foetus will be tests when it comes out.

Thanks

Hi @Daffodil21 I just saw your post and wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss. One miscarriage is bad enough, let alone multiples. The NHS will usually offer their standard tests after 3, with me they checked thyroid, clotting and balanced translocation. I was diagnosed with anti phospholipid syndrome. But I then had a 3rd loss so went private to a London. dr who spécialisés in immunology. Further extensive (and expensive) testing. Unfortunately it hasn't worked for me yet and I'm having a 5th loss but I take the approach of leaving no stone unturned. Wishing you luck x

Thank you @Eeviee I'm so sorry you're going through this for a 5th time. That is horrible ❤️
