Chemical pregnancy

At 4 weeks and 3 days I had a chemical pregnancy, the bleeding was very heavy and lasted for 3 days and has completely stopped now. I'm just wondering how soon after did other ladies try again? Can I try before my next period or should I wait until I've had a period? I'm getting such conflicting things from 2 different doctors and also online..... I feel ready to try again but I wouldn't want to put a pregnancy at risk if I should have waited? Any advice or experience would be appreciated

Hi @graciesmammy I had a chemical in June. As I was only 4+5 when it happened I just tried to look at it as a late period and I tried again straight away.

Thanks for your reply @Rumples...
have you had any luck yet??

Hi @graciesmammy, I am in exactly the same situation as you. Chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks 3 days and don't know if I should wait for my next period before trying again. I think I agree with @Rumples and will try straight away.

Have you decided yet? I am due to ovulate at the end of this week so there isn't much time to think.

Hi @FeatherInTheBreeze

We've decided to start trying again now before my next period... I've done quite a lot of research and if I was to fall pregnant this month there wouldn't be any increased risk to a future pregnancy which was my main concern. I have started tracking my ovulation and no smiley face just yet! I'm really sorry you've been through this as-well it's heartbreaking!! When I spoke to my doctor she said wait 3 months but I said no chance.. one of my friends had a chemical pregnancy a year ago this month and she's now got a gorgeous little girl a year on... she fell pregnant before her period and everything was fine we just need to stay positive and have hopeThanks X

There are so many of us going through the same heartbreak. I know I'm not alone in what I am experiencing but I still feel alone.

I couldn't wait 3 months either. It seems like so long.

@graciesmammy I did, I fell pregnant again 2 months later but had a miscarriage last week. I'm hoping to try again as soon as my body recovers.

I think I've just been a bit unlucky as a lot of women go on to have successful pregnancies after a chemical.

Wishing you lots of luck 💫

I have a rainbow baby we miscarried then that next month we had gotten pregnant she is 2 on the 5th of next month.

Rumples · 20/10/2020 12:36

@graciesmammy yeah only our first so it's been a bit crappy but we are staying positive. We only starting trying in April and I've got pregnant twice so that's something. 3rd time lucky in going full term hopefully.

How about you? From your username I'm assuming you have a little one?

@graciesmammy I miscarried on the 21st September - they say miscarry because I was technically 5 weeks 4 days but I have 35 day cycles so was more 4 weeks 4 days so I believe it was a chemical pregnancy to be honest! We started again straight away and I ovulated when I thought I usually would (used ovulation kits). My period is due on Saturday but I tasted Monday (and yesterday, and today haha) and I’m positive. Will be just short of 4 weeks going on my 35 day cycle! The only thing is, since I found out my anxiety has been ridiculous - I daren't even go to the toilet just incase there is anything nasty. Fingers crossed your journey will be a happy one this time! X
