You’ve just had a massive trauma, you’ll get your period when your body is ready. Mine took a few weeks but was then back to regular cycle.

Sorry you’re going through this, it’s horrible. 💐💐💐

It's a long time ago but when I had the ectopic, I did not even know I was pregnant. Only found out when they did a urine test at the hospital. I lost a tube and the ovary. This was after ten years of trying and a failed IVF attempt.

Six months later I was pregnant naturally. I never thought it would happen and it was a huge surprise. After that I had two more babies all healthy and good pregnancies.

My advice to you would be to relax and be kind to yourself.

I've had 2 ectopics - both requiring surgery.
After my left tube removal my cycle came back after about 5 weeks and was noticeably longer (used to be a 28-30 cycle) and changed to 30-35 day cycle.
After the second ectopic my period came back after 2 weeks and my cycles have been around 31 days give or take

It's a huge trauma to the body and can take a long time for the body to readjust.

I'm sorry for your loss x

@Maharanaina I had my left tube removed and then after that I conceived on my second month of trying and it was another ectopic which was in the stump of where the left tube was. It was only really picked up as I pushed for an early scan because of my history and they couldn't find anything on the scan but my blood hcg was 8000+

My first period after surgery was longer than my pre tube removal surgery. I think it was 31 days post surgery was the first day of my period.
I know that medical advice varies. My doctor said wait for the first period before trying to get pregnant ( some say 3 months).
I had my surgery on the 9th May and I am now 18 weeks pregnant with my first baby.
Please be kind to yourself, your body and mind has been through a lot..

@LittleGungHo my doc also said to wait for first period not 3 month.. Can I know ur which side? If u dont mind?

Mine was a left removal, but I kept my ovary. I was amazed to learn that the right tube can service both ovaries.

Firstly, sorry for your loss 💙

Mine have definitely been longer since my ectopic. Before it was around 26/27 days, now they are around 30 days long
